Werewolves have the ability to Discuss Being a Werewolf which you can throw into a friendly conversation. If they look agreeable after that discussion, you have "Ask for Werewolf Sympathy." That will give them the Fanged Friend trait and they'll be less startled by Werewolf behavior. If you don't do this, the relationships are incredibly hard to keep together. I went through two or three Werewolf and Non Werewolf relationships before I figured out that conversation has to come first lol.
  • With my werewolves, I've learned not to let anyone know, those who I wanted as friend(s). It can be a mixed reaction to who the sim is, but the reactions only happen if they see my sim wolf out, or talk about werewolf topics as @Kerrigan mentioned.

The reason I said the mixed reaction was because of one of my wolves. She was married to a human. They were dating before she had become one. After they were married, he didn't want anything to do with the subject. The ironic thing that happened was one evening he was out and about looking for frogs when he had an encounter with Greg. The next night was a full moon, and my sim's hubby ended up becoming a wolf as well. And boy oh boy was he trouble, wanting to fight anyone who crossed his path.
  • Thank you!! I'm toying with letting one of my fave Sims become a werewolf. If it doesn't work out I guess I can always just not save the play. Thank you for the tips @Kerrigan and @LaBlue0314 I'm torn now between wanting a friendly wolfie and one who takes on everyone they see. I might just have to make a Sim to turn and make them hot headed (as my Sim I wanted to turn is) just to see!

I feel like I must clarify some things.

Well, Ask for Werewolf Sympathy is to unlock the Werewolf Diplomacy ability (and doesn't require any prior interaction). Asking for Werewolf Sympathy is difficult to have it successfully done, but being good friends and having a nice conversation will increase the chances.

When this is successful, your sim will unlock the Werewolf Diplomacy ability. This will allow to give non-werewolves "Werewolf Ally" trait, which makes sure that this sim won't lose relationship when they are near a werewolf using werewolf abilities like howling. However, Asking for Werewolf Sympathy won't grant that trait and you can have your werewolf ask for werewolf sympathy from a werewolf ally (which can still fail).
There are other ways for sims to get the Werewolf Ally trait, which include being cured and reading werewolf books.

Fanged Friend trait is gained when you complete "Werewolf Initiate" aspiration (which also unlocks 4 more werewolf aspirations). This will give a initial boost when introducing (which can be either positive or negative depending on the introduction).
