Werewolves pack - features when you don't play werewolves?

I wonder if this pack is worth getting if not into werevolves?

I don't mind NPC werewolves living in that world, but would it work using most of those lots as regular residential lots? Will the werewolf theme be too intruding?

I like the grunge esthetics, but I don't want all my 400 sims to suddenly grow heavy body hair (especially not the infants, lol).

Is there any features with this pack that is a positive asset to sims living regular lives in other worlds? Any negative effects I should be aware of?

I think my computer might prefer med adding a GP rather than a EP because it means less resources required, and I'm pretty desperate for a new world :) I don't own Growing together either, but I fear that pack will affect my game more heavily, with lag etc, and I'm not really into detailed family play anyway.

Can the werewolf pack be compared to Vampires? Occult if you want it, but a small world that can be used regardless of the theme if you like the world setting?

Body Hair growth came with the high school pack and you can turn it off.

I use this world for camping. I made one of the lots by the lake a park lot for camping with items from the pack and outdoor retreat and that kids kit pack. It beats having to go to Granite Falls since your sims can swim in the lake. It's also where you catch the Luna fish.

I haven't noticed an increase of werewolves in my game. The only thing that bothers me is that those who are werewolves, which so far is just the premades and the npc, are always in there werewolf form when I go to a public lot during the day regardless of what world I'm in. I get annoyed with it because some of my sims will get that annoying frightened moodlet.

Otherwise I enjoy this pack just on the BB and CAS alone. Plus I have one Sim that I wanted to be a werewolf for one of my Sim story gameplays.

Back on topic - I'm now busy adjusting my Moonwood Mill :)

The yellow-ish shed might be home to a horse, some day... Hopefully werewolves won't attack a horse...

Thanks for sharing! I didn't know you had a website. Thanks for sharing that, too! Moonwood Mills was the first world that I really played in, so it is "homebase" to me. Everything I learned later branches out from starting there. It is so interesting for me to see someone enter the world so much later in their Sims journey.

Is the world dark? I am thinking of getting it while it's on sale, but I don't like dark worlds.

It's darker than Willow Creek and it's likes, but the place is a long gone industrial area, and it is supposed to feel a bit less bright mainly because of the werewolf theme, I guess. It's still a very good world, in my opinion, it feels very well planned and developed, and I love exploring it. It is quite small, but actually feels like bigger then just one hood. I really like it, and it's easy to accept and get used to the tad darker environment. So far werewolves did not bother my locals, not even during full moon.

This is helpful. I am only interested in it for the world. Not that I won't use anything else from the pack, but I am not interested in the theme. Every time it goes on sale, I have this internal debate as to whether I should get it. I probably should so I can go on and have some other conversation with myself. lol
  • @JestTru There is a toggle in gameplay options to turn off werewolf forms outside Moonwood Mill.

I have decided to place Moonwood Mill adjacent to Copperdale. They feel similar to me. This screenshot has inspired me to write a little short story. I have not yet decided to have werewolves. I am using a mod to keep them under control for now.

    Love your screenshot!

Funny, I placed Moonwood in my "Crafthole" (name from Sims Medieval, I play the House of Paris, descending from the Smithmasters). In my Crafthole is also Copperdale :) Originally I placed Moonwood with Granite Falls near Windenburg, but something made me move locations. I don't have HSY so I never played in Copperdale, though...

I know you got it in the end but for me, I found out of all the occult packs this was the least interesting if you didn’t play the occult.

I don’t play as vampires but I use their B/B a lot and I’ve used the realm of magic world a lot. I don’t really like werewolves build and CAS or world that much. I also think they’re a little more intrusive than the other occults even though you can switch them off.

I do think it will be fun to play as them though. But as a background pack I don’t rate it personally.

Thanks! I like the world, but I also found a fun way to play one of the werewolves without actually diving into it that much. I had the Count and Countess hire Lily as their Cook, and they don't know her werewolf side. I'm having fun seeing her in various situations in their estate, knowing she must do her best to keep her secret to herself. She cooks, serves and cleans, and sleeps in a tiny servant room next to the kitchen. I have n idea what will happen if I play this house during full moon. I don't know if she will then need to run away for that night to avoid smashing the kitchen, lol.

I might move on to ROM later this Summer.
