- cb2342zSeasoned SpectatorI've been preparing ever since we first started having rumors of a horse pack prior to Eco Living. Using my typical go-to sources (Flickr, stock photo sites, and websites/social media of a few tack/Westernwear retailers), I had already made several Sims. I've refreshed them so many times, they at least resemble the individuals themselves now. I've only recently conquered CAS.
First of all, I'll start working on the horses themselves, as there are at least ten horses (those the individuals were pictured with) I plan to replicate, as well as a new CAS system (aka CAH) that I'll have to master.
Then, I'll be applying the new CAS items to those Sims, and try to replicate the outfits worn by the women they were modelled on. From what I've seen so far, the new CAS is exactly what I needed for the wranglers, ranchhands, and working cowgirls.
I'm still confused about where my own Sims will end up being moved. Most of them really aren't on a big enough lot to have a horse, and for now, live in starter homes--except for a couple of households living in Henford-on-Bagley. I'm curious about how many uninhabited and empty lots there will be in Chestnut Ridge, as I'm probably not getting rid of any of the premade Sims in this world (which is a first). I think those with horses will need a pretty big lot.
We still don't have names for the two female Sims that showed up in art for Horse Ranch and the roadmap, but for sure, one will be living with my Sim; assuming she isn't married to someone else. - Meet Plum! Plum was the first foal I raised in Sims 3, and I have no idea what made me sell her back to the stable after finishing my rancher's LTW. Anyway, later I decided to have my favorite sims, Daniel and Gavin, visit Appaloosa Plains and they rented a horse each from the stable. Daniel chose Plum and they absolutely hit it off together (while Gavin and his rental horse maintained a more businesslike relationship).

I decided Daniel would buy Plum and take her back to Newcrest with him after the vacation. Unfortunately at the moment Sims 4 Plum is just a modded bike:

I can't wait to make her real (again)! The Reed family consists of two adults, two children and two cats, so there is still space for a horse.
Other than that I plan to add archery targets to the new world and let my sims attend a competition there. - amapola76Seasoned HotshotAlso, I've never quite known what to do with Vlad, but perhaps now he will create a small artisanal plasma nectary.
- amapola76Seasoned HotshotJudith Ward also needs an elderly horse, her dear companion ever since they starred together in her first blockbuster film, the one that made her a star.
- crocobauraSeasoned AceI don't have any definite plans. I am looking forward to the nectar making, I have a few lots that would benefit from adding it. Also, might add the little goats and sheep to some households. I love the new build items, and the world looks pretty. I think I will send my sims on some camping vacations there.
- sclevenger08Seasoned RookieI have no plans yet. Mainly because I had a baby 6 months ago and haven't had time to play and prior to baby I was to miserable to play lol. I have like 7 saves and they ALL have multiple famillies that I rotate between within each save so I can't even remember everyone and who I was playing so I've been planning to find some time to go through all my saves and either start some over or if I need to create a new family.
I do know that I love pre-made families so once we get a run down of the pre-mades coming I'll make a decision. I also have an idea swirling around with the Sam Elliot look alike in the trailer.....Also the classic ranch hand falling in love with the Ranch owners daughter who is back from college haha - telemwillSeasoned Ace

I love this idea! - WrenrySeasoned NoviceI'll be starting a new family in Chestnut Ridge in the save where I play all new packs to get used to the gameplay. Then when it comes to my Main Story saves, Chestnut Ridge will just be made a vacation world while I add the horses and other needed features to the worlds I'm already playing in.
- I plan to recreate a horse (well pony) that I used to own in RL and bring him to the Sims 4 to join my household. After that, I plan to move the household to Chestnut Ridge; I will make my female sim quit her job as an author to ride her horse, and raise mini goats and sheep. I also plan to get Cottage Living down the line as well so I can get chickens. If there is a way to train horses and sell them like in the Sims 3, I will make my sim become a horse trainer.
- LoriTSpNew SpectatorIf I choose to buy the pack, I think I'd like to have a goat farm ... would be cool if your Sim could craft soap and lotions with the milk.
