What career should this sim have?

With 10 fitness I'd go for the athlete career path!

ETA: also since she's an alien you could make her a scientist. She may be a lost alien whose ship crashed on earth a long time ago and wants to go back home. If she joins the scientist career she will be able to eventually build a wormhole generator and travel back to her home world :) or maybe she was born in game (after an abduction) and wants to travel to Sixam to find her father?

I'd go with scientist, this way she can go home for visits eventually. I almost forgot, once she is able to build the devise to travel home, she can have one at home, and the whole family can go for a visit, if she has a family.

When she's non committal every career will make her tense after a while. So I would probably buy a retail lot and make living with that since the game doesn't recognize retail ownership as a career.

Scientist is very good for collectors as you can ask for metals/crystals from co-workers, there are loads of mineral spawners, alien crater spawners, plants, access to microscope, observatory and rocket for the other space related items.

Clumsy scientists are fun because they fail quite often. Mine caught fire 3 times and failed 1 invention (the disposal animation is fun) in her first week.

Ty... Too bad we can't own spa's or go to work at them. Hmmm.... I thinking maybe a transcendental restaraunt.

I'd got for an astronaut. I think the intersmuggler track makes the most out of all the non-active careers.

You're right about game doesn't recognize retail ownership as career. My sim is unemployed, he have retail business.
