- SimmerCarl924 years agoNew SpectatorI Hope Music will be the 12th Expansion Pack. What Do you Think?
- logionX4 years agoSeasoned HotshotI don't know but I hope it will be something fun, there are not many other games that are releasing in november and december that I want to play. A lot of games got delayed to 2022.
- TTNcreates4 years agoRising NoviceI think it could be medieval. There have been a lot of hints towards a medieval pack plus we could also get horses. What better pack for them to arrive with?
- Well we don't really even know everything coming with cottage ep yet though
but I don't think November ep
(well if we have one anyway but we usually do)
will be generations or hobbies
simply because of the similarity of themes
I don't think they really want to do similar themes in row (well unless there is kits, stuff or gp in the between that breaks the theme loop completely)
and as for supernatural eh... maybe but like it seems more possible theyd do smaller packs just like until now
but I could still see romance+ hotels + vacation theme pack though cause it doesn't seem super connected with cottage pack but also they did add crumplebottom and all...*false hope*
or I could see amusement parks+ showtime being made into some type of funtime ep with city style world for concert venues and amusement parks
ooor then i could see something completely unexpected and new - DaWaterRat4 years agoNew VanguardI don't have a guess for the next EP.
I think the one remaining EP-sized thing wanted by the majority of the vocal online community is Generations. (I say this because even in these more connected Internet Days, Sims Social Media/Forum community only represents a fraction of the actual player base, and I'm not convinced it's a representative sample.)
Everything else is either not in demand by a large portion of the community, can be better served by a GP, or could be broken up into multiple smaller packs (or even kits) that will make EA more money under the guise of allowing players to pick and choose (Arguably, this could be the fate of Generations too.) - flaminganakin4 years agoNew SpectatorI, personally, am DYING for an Amusement Park pack (roller coasters, carousels, game stalls, water slides???=GIMME). And I think an amusement park/water park pack IS coming considering 1) both have been featured on surveys in the past and the Sims Team seems to be going down the list at this point, and 2) The Sims Freeplay (or Mobile, I can't remember) already has theme park stuff, and thus far, what shows up in Freeplay eventually comes to TS4 and vice versa (ex. Freeplay has a Japan-inspired world and Yamachan coming) but I think once TS4 does get an Amusement Park pack it'll be a gamepack, not an expansion pack.
A Generations pack would seem like the most likely move given how the Sims team seems to be listening to what the fans want. Plus, all the mentions of "nephews" (Patina in DHD) and "cousins" (A & A Crumplebottom in Cottage Living) in recent lore, making some Simmers speculate that extended family members could be coming to CAS. Seems like an update that would tie in nicely w/ a Generations EP.
I think if we do get one, it would make sense for it to be released at the end of the year (late November/late December) to fit in with the theme of the Holiday season + family. Plus, from a sales perspective, it makes sense to release it during the busiest commercial season & people take time off during the end of the year. Perfect conditions to maximize community excitement around a pack that's (arguably) the most requested amongst Sims fans. - flaminganakin4 years agoNew Spectator> @JemmaTheSimmer said:
> but can someone explain to me why generations is an expansion and not a game pack? From what I've heard (elders get cains etc., more stuff for teens and kids around school and such, better weddings and funerals, etc.) I think it would be good as a game pack where you focus on game play with no new world needed like Parenthood does. Parenthood does gameplay really well, better than a lot of EPs.
I think the amount of new animations, CAS items, & interactable B/B items would necessitate a gamepack.
Parenthood GP was only about that: parenthood gameplay, between parents and kids. A Generations EP would have gameplay content for EVERY life stage that didn't relate to parenting.
Ex.:
Kids: playing tag/hopscotch/hide and seek, boarding schools, first crush, more playground equipment, kids' bikes/scooters/skateboards, more after-school activities (TS3 had ballet, karate, a more detailed scouting system, etc.), sleepovers, imaginary friends
Teens: prom, first date, graduation, boarding schools, pranks, more after-school activities (TS3 had art club, science club, dance club, drama club, debate club, school newspaper, shop class, sports club, study hall), learning to drive, throwing a party while parents are on vacation
Elders: arguably the sims w/ the least development across all iterations of The Sims franchise. But, in addition to the canes from TS3, some features that could come to a hypothetical Generations EP for TS4 include: retirement home/senior center lot type, bingo table, wheelchairs, casinos, "Reminisce About the Old Days" interaction, and Elders coming to school for "Career Day"
Also, a Day Care lot type and active career (again, like in TS3). - crocobaura4 years agoSeasoned AceI don't know what the next EP will be but I would like an amusement park. Or a water park to pass the summer away in.
- A lot of players want cars and horses, so an EP can be focused on that request
- annaliese394 years agoSeasoned NewcomerI really don't know what to expect next. I would love romance, hobbies, or generations. I would also love a music EP or GP. Perhaps a historical/time travel EP?
