So my Sims apartment neighbour and friend died in the corridor. Now they are left with his urn in their living room.They’ve just moved out of the officially haunted house to be honest and I don’t think I want him (his ghost) hanging around permanently.So what do I do with the urn?

Release the spirit, then you can destroy the urn

I have a cemetary in one of my saves to put all my dead. Put it in Magnolia hood. There I have both mausoleums with rooms in the 'basement' to put urns and above, a cemetary for headstones.

There are tons of cemeteries on the Gallery. I always move urns/tombstones to a cemetery/graveyard; ghosts annoy me (they aren't scary enough and just slow down sims sleeping as well as break appliances).

Many of you are quite possibly too young to remember a children's cartoon series entitled "Casper, the Friendly Ghost". In many ways this dumbed down version of the 'dead' is boring.

Sell it. That should get rid of the ghost as well, I think.

I just found that if you put them outside they become a headstone. Maybe take it to the cemetery to get rid of them.

I am going to look for a cemetery. Not sure if the game (all expansions except Cats and Dogs) comes with one?

The only game-provided "cemetery" (not the actual burial ground for the random ghost pets) is in Brindleton Bay. Not a playable or editable lot, unfortunately.
