The thing with deaths in The Sims 4 is that most of the time they are warned ahead. The only truly random death is Death by Murphy Bed.
There are some deaths that really can happen on accident:
- Emotional deaths, especially the laughter one. These can come out of blue and sometimes just one extreme emotion animation can trigger the death.
- Death by Murphy bed. This one is truly random and happens more if the bed is broken.
- Death by Meteorite. While being AFK is an obvious one, let's say your sim is at a park or camping on a lot with no indoor rooms.
- Death by Starvation. If your sim is becoming a werewolf, their hunger need does go down so fast that if your sim dies, it truly can be unintentional there.
- Freezing and Overheating. One simple reason: NPC sims sometimes aren't smart enough to keep their body temperature at normal.
So yeah, not a lot of deaths that aren't intentional by the player...
Now how many others want it depends on the player. Me? Well, it depends. I prefer control, but sometimes I'd like some chaos, especially with the death game saves.

Good list! I would add a vampire burning in the sun. It can happen very easily, especially is sun sensitive.
