I don't usually mind accidental deaths. As most other players have mentioned, there are often warnings and things you can do to prevent death from occurring.
The only accidental death I ever had was the Murphy bed one. I'm glad I tested it using a throwaway save, instead of my rotational save. My sim died on the first night, and that was enough to convince me never to use the Murphy bed ever again lol.
