I'm pretty controlling with my sims, though at times random flirting has led to quite unexpected and surprisingly cute pairings. Overall I dislike my sims having a budding romance with the in-laws or strictly platonic friends. Or when random flirting occurs with a townie I haven't at least given a makeover to, you can bet that townie is getting insta-deleted.
Somewhere along the line the developers must have increased the autonomy for flirting. Or has it always been so aggressive? I need to look deeper into MCCC or something to stop this because it's getting a little out of hand in my game. I mean I play with mods but for some reason I haven't found a way to stop the random flirting.
I think there has always been autonomy to flirt, even when you aren’t playing the sim. When I first started playing sims 4, about 3 mos. After it first came out, I had this married couple that went to a movie theatre in my game, they cuddled and kissed in the theatre and all of a sudden this female sim came over and slapped the male sim. I was shocked, and was wondering, “why did she do that?” I took a look at my male sims relationships and saw that he had a pink line with another sim, the one that slapped him… lol. So autonomous flirting has been around awhile, because I had no idea he had even been flirting with other sims.
