Hi everyone! I hope you're all enjoying the new forum so far. I know I am!! I'm Charla, a big fan of The Sims 4! ☺️ I was going to join on the old one, but, as it only had a week left I decided to wa...
Hope you're all having a Merry Monday and a wonderful week. Looks like this thread has been the 'Happening Place' in the past four days since my last post and I've enjoyed reading them all and congrats to all of your sims who have experienced special moments and life milestones.
Bluegayle Your sim's horses are beautiful and yes, white manes and tails (aka Flaxen) are beautiful on horses. My sim in this post is based on a Palomino Quarter Horse mare that my family owned many years ago.
Just stopping by with an update from my recent visit (game play) with Krystal Sand after taking a few days to rebuild her original ranch by piecing together rooms that had been saved in my gallery. Due to not being in the habit of sharing unfinished lot/house builds, I lost the rest of her ranch when I started playing on my new laptop. Due to issues with not being able to share lots to the gallery at the time of the change, I was only able get Krystal's household including her two horses and dog shared to my gallery. When I added Krystal to my new game save, I used another ranch from gallery for her to begin with since I could find the original house plan that was used for guide in piecing the ranch back together.
Over the weekend, I tried once again to put her old ranch back together and managed to do so by finding the ranch/barndominium style plan that had been used and was able to get her ranch built again using the 64X 64 lot in Brindleton before transfering it to Chestnut Ridge. Just had to replace her original bathroom and decorate a new bedroom & small hallway for her. The pictures of the still work-in-progress are in rosemow's WIP thread. The new ranch has been shared to my gallery under the name 'Krystal Valley Ranch' and has lots of room left to decorate as a sim family grows. The only problem I've had since getting Krystal settled back into her new ranch is that the 'cow' from the original home I put her in is now stuck in her inventory which I guess is a known issue for other players.
Anyways, here are the pictures from Krystal's first few days in her new ranch.
Guess I'll begin with this picture of the Flower Bunny who comes to visit Sims on 'Springtime Fun' day which I created so that my sims could collect the decorative eggs that had been introduced in one of the early Sims 4 events when the game started. The activities that sims can do on that day are 'Hunt Eggs, Socialize with the Flower Bunny' and the not-so-fun part 'Cleaning' for the spring cleaning part of the season. This Flower Bunny stuck around all day until about 2AM and cooked many meals for Krystal while dropping flowers around the lot.
Just like in the early days of playing Krystal in my previous game save, one of her horses likes to still come inside the horse to hang out with Krystal. This is her AmericanStandardbred stallion, Rusty who was the first horse that was adopted in my previous save. Krystal hopes to use him to achieve her dream of becoming a 'Championship Rider'. Since then Krystal has adopted another horse (Chicory) and two dogs, Mudget (above) and Fidget (not shown). This time around, Krystal has decided that she doesn't want her horses to come into her house so she has locked the doors to horses. They have a nice horse barn for shelter and a large corral with lots of field space on either side of the house to run around in.
During the Love Day activities, Krystal was asked out on a date with Penny Pizzazz with whom she is now good friends and they are 'romantically interested' in each other. They had a nice date chatting and watching the clouds together at the bowling alley in Brindleton Bay.
That evening, Krystal hung out at the Narwal Arms with her Partihaus club and made some new friends at the same time.
Here's another picture of Krystal's first horse, 'Rusty'. Rusty is an independent, friendly and energetic horse and special bond with Krystal.
This is Krystal's other horse, Chicory who is a senior Fjord horse mare and is seen socializing with the ranch's rooster. Like Rusty, Chicory is also 'energetic along with being very intelligent and brave. She was adopted at the local horse rescue stables.
Krystal going for a leisurely Saturday afternoon ride after all of her chores were. Even though Krystal now has a hired ranch hand there's still plenty of work for her to do. Although Krystal tried her hand working in the Social Media career, she found that it wasn't for her as the job left Krystal with no time to follow her equestrian dreams.
Meet Krystal's new ranch hand, Sawyer Spears who comes to the ranch to work from 8 - 7 everyday and does many of the barn chores and helps with gardening and cooking meals.
On the last day of my visit with Krystal, she decided enter an Endurance race competition at the Equestrian Center in Chestnut Ridge. After grooming Rusty and cleaning his hooves they entered the ring and ended up winning the beginner level race.
Basking in their victory.
Krystal's first place trophy now hangs in the stable hallway which I will probably redecorate at some point.
'Happy Trails' to all of your sims and 'Until we meet again!'
The photo of the Flower Bunny who came visiting is cute 🙂 Rusty and Chicory are lovely horses ❤️Mudget is cute! Congratulations to Krystal and Rusty on winning the Endurance race! 🙂 The trophy that they won looks nice proudly on display on the stable wall.
Aurora and Tre's horses have never tried to come into their house...might be why the youngest one keeps knocking over the garbage can 🤔 Sending a message 😁 Your horses and pets are so beautiful! I love that expression horses get when they get brushed 🥰
