I like to imagine that the bride's father found out about the wedding, abducted the groom, and gave him a very "stern" talking to, and probably "persuaded" him to be a good husband, and "informed" him of the possibilities of what will happen if he isn't.
thankfully, he didn't get pregant
My very first sims 4 sim was a scientist who married a known alien. She eventually used the "contact aliens" interaction and got abducted the next day. I like to think she was meeting her in-laws. She even got a positive moodlet!
