What happened to Stuff Packs (again)?

Are they on hiatus again or they are gone? Is it the same thing for game packs? I thought there were a exclusive studio that'd be responsible for creating new stuff packs but where are they? I'd actually wish we could have transparency for these things. :(

  • Also very much prefer Game Packs tbh just like gameplay focus rather than having to always have like worlds and whatnot in a pack

I used to dislike Stuff Packs a bit since the gameplay was such afterthought with some of them and yet its usually gameplay I want

but it was just getting super nice too with this perfect hobby+ stuff type of focus so I am bit bummed we are only seeing kits and EPs lately 😅

as for people buying less games... to be expected when everyone is broke 😅 I'd be more worried if it wasn't going down tbh like with what money 😅

and also I just feel like it looks more drastic due to gaming climbing all the way up there during " the great indoorsy" years

obviously what goes up must eventually go down that is law of gravity.

well that and maybe the real life tech getting more stressful each year probably has something to do with people not wanting to use all their life and free time with computer related activities

This is my speculation.I dont think they will, because of how expensive things are .It's cheaper for them to only focused on expansions and kits.

  • I love stuff packs, wish we would see a couple each year.

  • I don't know but I wish we'd get a mix of them here and there. Especially because the kits don't offer enough sometimes. Like the makeup kit could have been a stuff pack so it could have included eyelashes and more swatches. But I understand kits are limited to a small number of stuff.

Exactly. If they're planning to replace stuff packs with kits i think they should focus on creating kits' themed collections, like the Medieval Estate Kit that only got architecture items, bht if they did a themed collection we'd also get kits for furnitures and clothes (that includes hairs too).

They have not abandoned the format - it is just about the least frequently used. The most recent Stuff Pack was Crystal Creations - which I did buy, but haven't really dug too deeply into. Before that, I think the next newest was Home Chef Hustle.  I also can recall a fair amount of noise being made over Nifty Knitting (which I have and should use more than I do - the plant pot hangers really fit my current Sims' vibe).

Stuff Packs still happen - but irregularly. A little more gameplay and it's a Game Pack. A little less and it's a Kit.
