I feel your pain... Island Living in general has been pretty disappointing in my opinion.

I was surprised by scuba diving. I knew it was a rabbit hole, but figured there would just be a quick text notification about the diving. It annoys me having to basically stare at nothing until the time runs out.

Maybe it's just me but I think the underwater controls in TS3 were very clunky. The fact I am a control freak and getting the full worth of controlled diving in TS3 meant leaving the remaining sims to their own devices for a while (because swapping between the underwater sim and the others made it even more jarring) might be a factor why I don't miss it as well. Then, I struggle with underwater movement in games in general (the flooded cave in Crysis was the worst level of all for me).
