My PC is well over a decade old and really needs replacing but I'd rather not so I have to work with the CPU I have so don't want to over buy on the power in the graphics card if it isn't going to be something I'm going to even be aware of. Someone should come up with a standardization on naming these cards too.
If you want to play on Ultra in HD you would have to get something like a gtx 1060 6gb or better but if your PC is over a decade old your CPU, RAM and probably your power supply won't be up to par and the card won't be utilized really well. I suggest going through all of the hardware in your system and figuring out what will need replacement. The best option in my eyes (especially if you have the money) is to just build a new PC or buy a Pre-built (be careful to not get ripped off). If your PC is so old I think it's high time upgrading it.
