What Is Blast From The Past Leading Up To?

Hi. I was just thinking about the Blast From The Past event coming up and the speculation about it leading up to a new DLC like the Reaper's Rewards event led up to the Life and Death Expansion. I've heard people say they think it will be a theme related to burglars which they say might be coming to the game. I also heard someone say it might be time travel themed because of some debug items. But there is a banner that seems to be for the Blast From The Past event in the EA App and it suggests that the Blast From The Past event will be themed around a time travel heist. I saw a simmer point out on YouTube that all the rewards for the event will be items reminiscent of previous games in the franchise. What if the Blast From The Past event is leading up to a new DLC that brings older content from previous games in the franchise to Sims 4? What do you think Blast From the Past is leading up to? Do you see any counter evidence to my theory? Any additional thoughts along the same lines? Different theories that you think better explain things? Let me know in your replies.

    I think it's definitely plausible, given how the Reaper's Rewards event "set the tone" for the Life and Death expansion.

    Honestly though, I'm just super stoked that Emit Relevart is getting some love! Between him and Ayden van Gould, they probably featured the most heavily out of any pre-made in my Sims 3 gameplay. If Emit does come back in some way, be it on the gallery or DLC, I just hope they'll allow us to romance and WooHoo with him. Even time travellers deserve love too.

    I would really love another Into The Future style DLC though. I think it would be such fan service to go back to Oasis Landing. Imagine the lore possibilities too. 🤩

    I really hope the event sets the theme for an upcoming time travel EP. I hope this isn't wishful thinking. Some simmers found debug items referring to time travel. I loved sims 3 into the future. Let's hope it comes back in sims 4.

    I think it's a hint that we will get a full Time Travel Gameplay Expansion Pack coming this year.                                                              I'm hoping that the new Time Machine Portal will not only Time Travel to the Future but the Past as well.  Also, we're going to need Ancient Egypt/Africa, Medieval Europe, Georgian/Victorian Europe & Futuristic Star Trek Parody Worlds.                           It's a Sims game, it won't cover the whole world.

    From TS1: the little pond where you could feed fish & sail little boats, the shack where you could get the fish food, boats, and picnic baskets, the carts/food stands that - depending on which one - provided hot dogs & burgers, pastries, ice cream treats.  TS2: the sprinkler that thoroughly douses any fire in the area, a fire alarm that actually works by summoning the fire department
