What is you favorite Sim foods to cook without gaining or losing weight?

I feel like my Sim is currently gaining weight very quick now even after just a normal pasta dish, so I was wondering, what do you like to cook if you don't want your Sim to change how they look? I know salad, and often use that. I also like the candy machine for quick weight gain, it is all the other exciting food I want my sim to cook and eat.

  • There's a tilapia dish that is weight friendly. Also there are a variety of salads, not just the garden. There's fruit, watermelon, caprese, and maybe more. If your Sims eat healthy for a bit, they'll unlock the healthy living lifestyle which in turn unlocks more healthy recipes and quick meals.  Sims can get super skinny if they eat this way all the time, so you may still want to have an occasional pasta dish.  It helps to save the heavier meals for when Sims are in yellow or red for that need.

If you have the Cool Kitchen Stuff pack, there's ice cream that can cause either rapid weight loss or gain.  This does tend to move to the extremes though.

Exercis, or lack of it, is another way to keep Sims in the shape you imagine them to be.

I used to look after low calorie food but now my sims just eat whatever and a diet ice cream every now and then. Unfortunately that ice cream doesn't exist in real life 😂

  • I use the ice cream too for weight loss on some of my sims.  Also when your sims eat, you might want to wait till they slip into the yellow hunger range.  Another thing you can do is stop your sims before they finish all of their meal,  If you play rotationally and find your sim gaining weight while you aren’t playing them, next time you play them make sure you start sending the on a jog daily, and then they tend not to gain weight as easily..  besides the salads and fruit bowls, fish taco’s and grilled chicken seem to be foods that are lower calorie foods where as pizza, lobster, and Mac and cheese are high calorie.  Also, it depends on the type of exercise they do as to whether they lose weight from it or bulk up. Cardio doesn’t cause them to gain muscles whereas weight machines do.  Some types of exercise it is half and half.  I think Carl’s  Sims used to have a good guide on foods and exercise and what they do.

  • I feel like all foods make sims gain weight. Try not to let them eat when their hunger is in the green. Also, regular exercise like jogging seems to help a lot and they can basically eat whatever they fancy. Diet ice cream every once in a while also helps, they need a few servings for visible weight loss, so a serving now and then helps with maintenance.  Also, fresh fruit and veggies from inventory give very little energy, so you could let them snack on those instead of cooked meal.
