Get Famous has a toggle for fame, in game settings. I have this turned off, and plan to later on let individual sims get famous by 'stepping out into the light', in their personal menu. The premades from the pack I will remove from the world by gameplay.
I mostly build and plan my worlds, and use all packs I have, which is almost all of the ones available. I like them all, for the worlds and items in build/buy mode and all the small interactions added; and some of them for their added features useful in a large way across the save, for example Get Together with its club feature, Eco Lifestyles for NAP's and Footprint, Parenthood for generational play. I like City Living very much for the apartments in the accompanied world.
