What is your favourite way to play The Sims 4?

I love legacy style challenges and family play but I'm a builder at heart. Not a great builder, mind you, but I love doing it anyway.

Everything but building. I've dabbled in it but I need more practice. ?

I am a builder and player and deviant. I literally try to break each iteration just to see how much stress it can handle and how much the gameplay can handle too. It's fun to test the mechanics of games. I really love the talent from the mod community too.

The answer is a profound YES.

Building is playing——> Playing around with the build tools.
Creating Sims is playing ——> Playing around with the hairdos.
And yes playing with the virtual dollies is playing ——> because it’s playing with the virtual dollies.
Browsing the gallery is also playing ——> Playing around with....the filters?

Special mention: I browse the gallery a bit and I share a bit. The Gallery is great!
ETA: another special mention: Cinema Mode. I love Cinema Mode and getting the perfect shot.

I PLAY this game. Call me a Player. The Sims 4 is great! ?

At first comes builder then player. I don't like the cas like the other both, but in the decade challenge I spent more time with this part of the game because of you know my immersion. The gallery I use maybe 0.005 % of my time. Sometimes I'm not patient enough, I'm faster in building the stuff I need than to browse for a lot which I bulldoze immediately after the placement, because it wasn't that what I had imagine.

thank you so much! This is actually my friend's cat. I'll pass on the message! My chonker looks like this:

cas & build allows for so many possibilities so i'll usually be creating stuff even if it looks horrible
the gallery has so many cool things, i love to check it every now and then
as i tend to start lots of saves i'm usually rearranging households. would love if the game allowed more than 8 sims
when i have a storyline in mind i'll be on live mode playing the game or making my sims pose

I have dramatically changed the way I want to play recently. I always used to spend ages (trying to) build from scratch or renovate an existing build or one from the gallery, then spend ages making the sim, and then get bored after a couple of hours of actual gameplay. Now I have no idea why!

I have just created 4 different saves for the different stories I want to play. I have a conservationist on Sulani who is soon to be a mermaid, I have a spellcaster who is working towards being a paranormal investigator, I have a sim who is trying to make it as an actress, and another sim who is starting off in the detective career. I am having so much fun and can't believe the gameplay I've been missing out on! Don't get me wrong, I spent ages creating my sims and building their homes and worlds, and it was really fun, but now I just want to play the stories!

I'm a player, but CAS is a close second
