The addition of toddlers and the gender patch filled huge gaps for me. I absolutely loathed going from babies to children, and the gender patch added game mechanics I'd been modding in for years. Not having to do that really enriched the game for me. The other thing was discovering rotational play and building what is essentially my own community with interwoven families and stories.
