The step from Sims to The Sims 2 was so huge for twelve year old me. I couldn't believe the scope of the game, the idea that your Sims could have children that grew up, that generations go past. It blew my mind. I played it at my dad's house when I visited him on his weekends because he had no internet at his house but a really awesome new computer that could cope with the demands of the game.
It took adding toddlers and the parenting pack for me to come to the Sims 4, I avoided it until then because it seemed like a big step back from the Sims 3, content wise. I've racked up nearly 800 hours on the Sims 4 and have barely scratched the surface on a bunch of the added gameplay (running a business, being a vet, etc) because I focus so much on raising children. I'd love to manage to get a child with all aspirations completed, all childhood skills maxed out AND all parenting traits maxed in the green one day, in a game with ageing on I mean. I like the challenge of that.
