At the moment, both computers and TVs are banned, as the Sim's guests always use them whenever they come over. I'd rather have my Sims chat with friends and family. I think it's kind of rude to visit someone and go straight for the computer/TV without asking for permission or chatting with them.
Oh, and I'm close to banning grills, as whenever I load up the house in the middle of the night, one of the Sims is doing that. They have the fridge for midnight snacks, LOL. The dollhouses are already banned, never to be touched again. There are times when the parents of children and toddlers want to work on skills or at-home career tasks, and are too busy to play.
I wish there was a way to ban phones, though. Teenagers constantly take them out and do any of those annoying idles whenever I queue up actions or poses.
