I agree that children need more interesting gameplay. Teaching them values and doing homework (Parenting pack) is not what I mean. I mean fun.
However, I've seen a lot of threads from people whose elder sims won't just die already, and that's because elder sims aren't interesting. They're everywhere because the game loves to generate them, but all that really differentiates them from adult sims is poor posture, cracking their backs at random, and having a lot of free time.
Give them something to do. Give them bucket list aspirations, the way teens have teen-specific aspirations.
