In Sims 3, I always always played with the long lifespan and I really enjoyed spending a lot of time with my Sims, being able to max out skills or get them to the highest level in their career(s), but with Sims 4, I've been using the normal lifespan option instead and having just as much fun, just switching out my family (Just one single family, currently five generations in) when the oldest/only child becomes a young adult, or a prodigy teen moving out to small, not-so-good apartment because they want their space.
But the thing is I always get so attached to my Sims, I was quite sad when some died of old age, it made me want to rethink aging (or at least making it longer like it says to haha).
