I'm not sure either what kind of gameplay people expected from Seasons... short of new activities, which we are getting. I see people getting annoyed about cosmetic things missing (snow depth) and lack of sunburns, which would really not be different from needing soothing lotion or bug spray and having negative moodlets if they don't... how is that 'gameplay' either?
Sims can skate, rake leaves/shovel snow, actually do something with flowers, raise bees, have snow fights, build snowmen, make snow angels, toddlers can go in pools, play in puddles, you can make Holiday parties and give presents, we can pick different outfits for each season... just curious if there'll be more to do in other seasons.
Just wanted to note that the thermostat isn't going to be useless - it's going to be one way to keep your Sims from freezing inside in winter and boiling inside in summer.
