I also added a few custom holidays for my Legacy challenge (original by Pinstar) for the Forrester Legacy. When the Founder dies, you create a holiday for Remembrance and create a holiday on the day you started the challenge. Each holiday only has 1 tradition and then in each generation when the heir dies, you add a tradition to either of the holidays. So I created Tribute to Hayden - which has the tradition of Remembrance, and occurs in the Summer. & then I created Forrester Celebration, where my Sims Travel to another Lot/Vacation; when my Gen 2 heir died, I added the Fishing tradition to the Forrester Celebration holiday. I'm in Gen 3 now and my heir will be dying soon....so I'll continue to add to the Forrester Celebration which occurs in the Fall.
