What sized homes do you prefer?

I like to see everything and everyone at once, but I usually shove them upstairs for sleeping. I have macros on my mouse to switch between floors just in case my build is taller.

Funds and family size always determine it. In question, I want a lifetime home that is one story, why take stairs when you're older, that's sabotage. But it never pans out this way in game.

One story. Simply due to the fact we have no working door bell in the game and sims rarely check to see who's knocking on the door. Too often I would see a sim I missed that was apparently standing at the door walking away from the house when my sim is on a second level. Kind of annoying sims don't answer the door when a sim knocks on it, but for some reason wants to talk to a sim that's 5 miles away on the other side of the neighborhood when outside of the house.
