What ways can my human (non-occult) sim research werewolves, and Spellcasters?

In one of my households, I am playing a human sim, and I would like to keep her that way. She has finally researched everything she can about Vampires (she is living in Forgotten Hollow).

Next, she is attempting to research the two other occults, aka werewolves and spellcasters. What are ways she can research those two occults without turning into either?

  • Non-spellcasters can visit the Magic Realm and observe casters at their doings there. They can pick the magical plants to grow them at home and buy brooms/wands/familiar orbs for their collection (just not use them).

Non-weres can befriend werewolves and ask for Friend of the Pack status. They can read the special werewolf books, but I think they cannot learn the symbols that reveal the deeper lore. Maybe invite a werewolf into your household and have them write a book of their lore for your sim? That would "only" be roleplay, though. Your sim could also study constellations at the telescope, take dna samples as a scientist...
  • There's not much "research" for spellcasters, unfortunately. Not even any cool interactions with spellcasters in the magic realm asking about it. Most of the Lore is in object descriptions.

With Werewolves, you can go to Moonwood Mill and ask the residents questions (Kinda like Tartosa) and some research is possible through the tunnels and reading books, but most of it is hidden behind a werewolf-only script.
  • The tunnels are a bit tricky, I had another sim attacked (twice) by werewolves, while inside a tunnel. That sim did end up as a wolf herself.
  • The first time I played with wizard, she read a few books about wolves and I got message saying that she now understands more about werewolves and will not be so easily scared by them. I think she got a trait from it, but I didn’t take a pic and I’m not sure right now, but she stopped being tense around wolves in their beastly from. The second time I tested it with human and she didn’t get anything from books and was always tense near wolves. I wonder if this is a bug and if books really should give them some sort of understanding of wolves. I was very disappointed that human didn’t accept wolves after reading those books.
