I like all of the suggestions mentioned above! I'd also add an overhaul to the idle animations, they take away so much time out of Sims' day. The most irritating for me are in relation to cooking and eating. It's cool my Sim has leveled up in cooking and has all these added things they can do such as; throwing knives/bowls around, rolling bowls on their shoulders, spinning a bowl with their spoon, tapping the pot after flinging it around by the handle, holstering spices like a gunslinger and stuff.
That alone takes so much time, but do they then have to stop inbetween each one of these added animations to stand with fists on their hips and look all confident and obnoxious and/or laugh too? Or just stand and stare for awhile at the bowl, the wall, a painting, etc.? And when they eat they do the same thing, stop eating, look around, laugh at nothing, take a bite, lather, rinse and repeat. Just eat for God's sake! lol
Same thing when authenticating an artifact. It takes waaaay too long to do just one because of all the idle animations, writing a song and painting too! Gah! I could go on and on all day with examples of wasted time with these animations. My Sim would get much more accomplished, have time to spend with their family, visit venues, go on vacations, etc. if so much time wasn't spent doing these absolutely pointless animations.
I'd love an overhaul to the 'kudos' texts from family/friends too. "I heard you became friends with, got married to, are dating, got promoted, blah blah blah..." How did you know? It just happened and you weren't here. I think it would be more realistic if our Sims only got these texts if the Sim texting actually witnessed the occasion and/or some time has passed so they realistically could've heard about it from a mutual friend or family member. Or maybe our Sims could post about these occasions on Simbook, Simter, Simblr and THEN get texts like this? Just an idea...
WooHoo animations need a serious overhaul as well. I dislike the fist pump agreement so much. I don't yell "Yeah!!" and fist pump when Hubby wants to WooHoo, why do my Sims? It's just so silly. The coy/seductive whisper in the ear before the fist pump is enough in my opinion. Or maybe they could add a variety of animations such as the "Come here." finger animation thing they do before woohooing in a closet. Or just a fun knowing smirk, affirmative head nod, they grab hands and/or just walk to the bed.
I wish they would cuddle a little afterward too instead of immediately getting out of bed and changing clothes to stand there and stare at each other. Sometimes they do the 'Hot and bothered' face fanning thing, but it's rare. Why can't they 'make-out' a bit in bed before woohoo too? Whatever happened to foreplay?
Speaking of making out, what our Sims do that's called 'make out' on the couch now is so tame, it's just sad. That's just timidly kissing. Is it supposedly making out because of the noises they make? lol I loved all those romance animations for woohoo or just making out on the bed/couch in TS2. Everything is just too PG now. Our Sims need more romance. *sigh*
Okay, I could suggest more, but I'll stop here. I still have fun with the game the way it is, but it would be much improved with my suggestions and the ones mentioned by all of you in my opinion. Happy Simming! <3
