Until the release of Newcrest (2017) I was always in Willow Creek. Nothing wrong with Oasis Springs. I even had 2 or 3 families living there. However, the desert setting just wasn't my "cup of tea", since the weather looked too tamed... though I might be able to fix that with the with Seasons Pack! >:)
