I like having a few different types but I also like Victorians on 40 x 30 lots and I have not tried building one. I also like 30 x 20 lots.
Since I play with multiple households, I like having enough starter homes preferably with 2-3 bedrooms. I utilize the apartments and would now like it if I could fill the lower levels of the Evergreen Harbor apartments as well as the top levels.
I like having the small rowhouses or townhouses to start some sims out. Large family homes are the goals for most of the sims, so yes, I like classic large houses on large lots. Usually I am open to different styles and let the sims add personality to the house itself. I've filled all of Willow Creek so I definitely like that world of varied traditional houses.
Having a lot of character is very interesting. I also decorate a lot with the build objects and furniture from Seasons and from Cats & Dogs. I can work with almost any world & architectural style. Evergreen Harbor is becoming more of a starter world for me with most sims living there for a while before moving somewhere else.
I built a great family house in Del Sol Valley. It just looks like a contemporary nice home. I guess I like Craftsmans as well as Victorians. There are styles that I don't like but I'm usually open-minded and like having different characters with somewhat different styles. A mix of starters and family houses is welcomed by me.
