In an RPG/MMO, I suppose that I fall somewhere between an Achiever/Explorer. I enjoy hunting down every sub-quest and successfully completing them. I try to walk every inch of the map and visit every enclave at least once. If there is an end to the game, I strive for the very best one. The Sims series is different, however. It's a genre unique unto itself that Bartle's theory doesn't fully account for.
Preferably, I don't create stories in the Sims. I wait for stories to develop as a result of gameplay with various personalities who have very different wants and desires. That is why in-depth and thoughtful personality simulation is crucial for me. Without it, I'm unable to play "my way".
I hope that the Sims team never gets it into their heads to try to pigeonhole players based on another genre. The Sims franchise broke the gameplay mold and should continue down its own path.
