I have a couple different ways I choose names. I either go off a cultural vibe/theme, a name that has a particular meaning, browse nameberry until I find something I like, or I give my sims names of characters in books I'm reading or movies I have watched recently. Usually a name just calls to me and I am typing a new baby or premade sims name without thinking!
