When decorating the Christmas tree do you use ornaments, garland or both?

I usually use both but i've noticed some sims either get the embarrassed moodlet from the tree decorations or an angry moodlet from the tree decorations. The last few sim years i've been just using either the garland or ornaments and usually get a happy moodlet from the decorations from doing this.

  • Both and then they light the tree and it catches fire. Every time. I meant you should turn the lights on not set it on fire little goofballs. :D

I believe if they hate it it's because it's poorly done. There's a chance of that, so just redo whatever part was done poorly. If it's that much of an issue, there're also 2 pre-decorated trees as well.
  • I always do the full works. In order. Ornaments, Garland, Skirt, Topper. I usually don't bother to light it, though. Too many trees burned down on me.

tbh the lights look tad too sparkly in game so i don't really use them either i would have preferred to have like actual candles kinda ones
  • I just pop down the pre-decorated tree (Stroke of midnight or something) and a pile of presents (size depends on the space available). Winterfest is just another day for my sims. Only more decorated, and of course the grand meal is popular with the little pixels. I'm not fussing with it, as long as I get the traditions checked off I'm happy.
  • I use both, also the tree skirt, topper and all the presents. I've never actually paid attention to their moodlets after decorating the tree though, I'll have to remember to check them next time.
