Yes maybe some of the mobile team are being diverted to The Sims 5. I think it's in production now.

Yes maybe some of the mobile team are being diverted to The Sims 5. I think it's in production now.
I don't think they've begun working on TS5 just yet as devs have stated multiple times that they still have a lot of stuff that will go into TS4.

They can work on multiple games at the same time. TS4 development for example started just shortly after TS3 base game was shipped.
