When Doing a Repair Game, Should Anything Be Removed, First?

Hi, I tried to do a search and came up with nothing. I am hoping if I do a repair game, the sound in the Karaoke machine won't cut off before the end of the song. How do I know the song hasn't ended if there is no sound? That's easy. My Sim keeps doing the interactions for the chosen song. I have started a brand new game save and that hasn't fixed the situation. It's weird. It's been since the latest patch that I've had this trouble. I'm thinking a repair game will fix it, at least I hope so, but I'm wondering should I remove anything (such as my Mods folder) before I start the repair process? I do know my saves will be okay.

Please, and thank you, in advance.

  • I think the repair functions works like an update, so I would remove the mods folder.

Thank you. I was leaning toward that, so it's nice to know I'm on the right train of thought. :)
