Re: When Things Go Terribly Wrong During Gameplay...

I have had some interesting issues to work through, regarding the story I'm writing about my Sims game. Mostly gameplay-driven, the game will often give me a 'gift' as it were. A direction in which to take the storyline. So far, it's been good. I sorted things out with the help of some of you willing to render an opinion on my situation. Many thanks.  I went back to play my game and to my complete surprise my Sim got abducted by aliens!  (I had tried so hard during Sims3 to have the very same character get abducted. The closest he got was his Maid Bot kept catching the blue beam!)

Well, that added some drama to my game, fodder upon which to write a couple of chapters, anyway.  Then I hit a snag of my own making. (It was truly a matter of life or death, which had me twisted into knots.)  I finally worked things out when the game throws me another curve ball. Face/Palm. I have a chapter written and a partial with the plot line I had settled upon. This all but throws that into the incinerator.  So, once again I'm back to arguing with myself. (I really need to learn how to get along with me. LOL) 

Just in case I decide to go forward with this latest roadmap, I'm not going to give away anything. I'm not really seeking advice at this moment, mostly I'm venting. Mind you, I love this game, still, but why oh why do this to me now? Just when I was certain of the steps forward. Oh, well.

I guess I'll go to Hobby Lobby for some things I'm going to need for Thanksgiving. . . 

Just in case you would say something, if I should ignore what happened that stands in the way of my story line, say so. If I should revamp things, let me know what you think. Several heads are better than one.
