When you hit a wall?

I believe it's called burnout. I have been playing the same family for years, now. Throughout all of the restarts, etc. I just now find myself sometimes unwilling to play that save. I just need a break, I guess. I'm busy setting up my Ancestral save (since the saves in that game managed to disappear on me). Oh, well. I'm great at restarts. I'm at a pause mainly because I think there needs to be some drama in my other main save, but as of yet I can't think of what that should entail. So, I'm hoping by clearing the brain a bit from the future save (the year is 2298) by playing well into the past (the story starts in 1760 Colonial America) something will spark. I won't stray too long from the future save, as I'm sharing the story on these forums. I just need that wee break.
