I always think of it as in, “Live from NY! It’s Saturday night”, too.
Ok but how do you say “CAS”? I always spell out the letters in my head, but I hear youtubers call it cass like it’s a word.
Build mode is the mode where you build and live mode is the mode in which your sims live. Makes sense it's pronounced that way :D
And CAS is pronounced cass - it's an abbreviation. If you were to pronounce it See-Ay-Ess it kinda loses its point cause it's just as slow as saying Create-A-Sim. - I spend most of the time in live mode, but creating my sim before getting started can easily kill the first hour.
- Live mode. I will use cas to create a sim but only when I need one for live mode. For building I use the gallery and tweak to my Sims needs but that's it

It’s an acronym
But I think it’s funny if we met up, we’d be talking about the same things yet in another language almost ?
I do want to point out that I have been pronouncing it that way since CAS came into existence, long before social media or Guru input, so nobody is changing it in my head at this point!- GalacticGal6 years agoSeasoned Ace

I'm right there with you. "Live from Utah". ;) I also say the letters for Create-A-Sim. I don't pronounce it as a word. cass. LOL Sounds short for casserole. I beg to differ about CAS being as long as Create-A-Sim. We're talking three syllables versus five, after all. ;) - GalacticGal6 years agoSeasoned Ace

I've spent most of my time in build mode. I love to build. I find building therapeutic. I've been working on actually playing, though. I started a challenge just so I'd play more.
But building... <3"EnjoyfulSimmer;c-17092613" wrote:
When I found out live is pronounced similar to how you would say "I live on 4th street." I even loved just saying live mode :D
Got a source for that claim? *skeptical*
SimGuruGraham corrected this forum a few years back that it's pronounced live. As in, I live at 1313 Mocking Bird Lane :p
But I totally disgree with it, to me it's more like the light goes on in a studio and you are now Live. (In front of the camera).
I won't conform, lol
Quite. I regard that as a US pronunciation and I prefer my UK one, thank you Graham. :)
Hm, I pronounce it the way Cinebar does. Live, from New York! I'm from the U.S.A., though so we are used to pronouncing things differently. ;) - SheriSim6 years agoSeasoned HotshotI spend most of my time playing, a small percentage in CAS and I build occasionally. More often than building myself I will download what some one else has built and change it around to my liking.
- Build mode but I'm trying to spend more time lately in Live mode. I'd say CAS comes second to build usually so I have a lot of catching up to do Live mode gameplay wise.
- @GalacticGal
It’s also reticulating SPLEENS (not splynes) if you were to ask me that one years ago! I don’t know about you! ? - Simburian6 years agoNew Traveler

That's my way too. Live mod like 'liv' never entered my head ever. UK.
