- I'd say I'm 50% build other 50% between cas/live
- GalacticGalSeasoned AceI spend most of my game time in Live mode. Sometimes, it becomes necessary to drag my family into CAS. I don't like losing the time, though. Other times I relax either building a new lot, or decorating/redecorating my Sims' lot. With my latest RESTART of a save, I determined I would set the world up, first before I commenced with actual play.

Ok but how do you say “CAS”? I always spell out the letters in my head, but I hear youtubers call it cass like it’s a word.
That’s why I thought Live was said like that. This is kinda hilarious. They probably say cass cause it’s faster. I go with cass as well - I really spend a lot more time making or adjusting sims than I do playing them.

I've spent most of my time in build mode. I love to build. I find building therapeutic. I've been working on actually playing, though. I started a challenge just so I'd play more.
But building... <3"EnjoyfulSimmer;c-17092613" wrote:
When I found out live is pronounced similar to how you would say "I live on 4th street." I even loved just saying live mode :D
Got a source for that claim? *skeptical*
SimGuruGraham corrected this forum a few years back that it's pronounced live. As in, I live at 1313 Mocking Bird Lane :p
But I totally disgree with it, to me it's more like the light goes on in a studio and you are now Live. (In front of the camera).
I won't conform, lol
Quite. I regard that as a US pronunciation and I prefer my UK one, thank you Graham. :) - All of the above? Depends on the mood and state of the game; right now I'm rebuilding my template save since my last one got corrupted. I'm working mostly in Build Mode because I'm creating retail stores where my Sims can shop. I'm working on a gallery/photo studio; almost done with my department store. Final part of the project will be to have a couple of Sims that have unlocked the best of the career outfits and sell them (one menswear, one women's). Once I'm done with that, I've got some families in mind I want to create and save for future gameplay ideas; And I also do have a save where I spend time in Live Mode playing out some stories.
- akl1226New SpectatorI usually spend time in all three each time I play but live mode takes up most of my gameplay time. I just find it so enjoyable to watch my little creations live their life. I do enjoy CAS (especially creating fun and unique outfits) and building/decorating but live mode has always been my favorite and biggest time consumer.

Build mode is the mode where you build and live mode is the mode in which your sims live. Makes sense it's pronounced that way :D
And CAS is pronounced cass - it's an abbreviation. If you were to pronounce it See-Ay-Ess it kinda loses its point cause it's just as slow as saying Create-A-Sim. - I spend most of the time in live mode, but creating my sim before getting started can easily kill the first hour.

Hm, I pronounce it the way Cinebar does. Live, from New York! I'm from the U.S.A., though so we are used to pronouncing things differently. ;)
