Where does your sim live?

I build more than play to be honest, I get an idea in my head, like today I thought about an apartment/flat with a balcony and pushed out dining area that was fully glazed with floor to ceiling windows, I built it straight away while it was fresh in my mind. I have looked at floor plans etc but I like to change it so much it doesn't look like it started out as! I do download from the gallery but tend to do unfurnished (I wish they did un-gated and un-planted too!) as there seems to be a lot of dark floors/dark furniture/clutter (which is great if you love that but I like light airy homes) and the pillars I have to take out straight away as they annoy me, if they collapsed with walls down (which is how I play) then I would love them (same for climbing plants/flowers)

I cant play ready made apartments either as for some reason all of a sudden the doors don't collapse on walls down - which is sooo annoying!! :D
