Thanks for the shout out, @mightysprite. I try to put a lot of humour in my Sim 66 story, interspersed with the drama. Sometimes I create a Sim and think "there's no way this is going to be anything other than a comedy character".
I can't speak much for other writers/gamers but some do come across as more introverted and are drawn to writing tragic or emosh stories. I'm kind of the opposite; more extroverted irl and drawn to comedy-drama. I love farce and misunderstandings...The Sims provides a lot of gameplay for that, I find.
