Honestly, I never even tried the Sims 4 controls. I followed the Sims 4 and the forums for months before buying it myself and saw a bunch of people saying it was awful and that you could use sims 3 controls, so I immediately switched as soon as I got the game :D
I'm intrigued to see the results perfectly even though! I suppose the thread I saw all those years ago was overreacting and/or just not used to the Sims 4 controls
