Which Ep and Stuff Packs?

Sorry to just be bombarding this place with questions, but here's another one.
So someone said that the build your bundle thing was a good idea, but now I'm torn on which ep and stuff pack I should get; I'm 99% sure I want the Vampires GP, so no troubles there.
For EPs, I'm torn between City Living and Get Famous; City Living I mainly want because of the Singing trait, since I love to sing, and want my Simself to sing. On the other hand, Get Famous looks pretty fun.
On the Stuff Pack side, I'm not sure once so ever on what to get, but so far the Movie, Patio, and Romantic Garden sets look the most promising.
So, what should I invest in? What's better than what?

  • I wont say that any pack is better than another pack. But I would recommend the city living EP before you get the Get famous EP, that way you can have the options for festivals (which can be really fun), and singing. My sim loves to sing, she has maxed her skill and I have her go to the karaoke bar all the time. As far as the stuff packs go, you really can't go wrong with any options you picked. Do your sims spend more time inside or outside? If inside then get the movie night stuff. If outside then get the patio stuff, or romantic garden.. ( I would go with patio stuff, comes with a lovely outdoor heater that works wonders if you have seasons).

If you like Midcentury style furniture, Get Famous and Bowling Night would make a good pairing -- both add a lot of MCM style furniture. I've been remodeling my loner Sim's apartment -- the stereo is my favorite piece because it looks just like the one my family had when I was growing up.
  • As every player wants something different, I recommend checking out the SimsVIP or Carl pack guides and reviews if you haven't already done so. Vampires is my absolute favourite pack, so I would definitely recommend it. Between City Living and Get Famous, both are great fun, and it really depends on what you want more. CL offers the better world, singing skill, festivals and great CAS/build items. GF however is great in terms of gameplay - the reputation and fame system is really well done and I love the CAS/build items too. I've never been into the whole fame theme though, so I would choose CL for the city world and singing skill, and then buy GF at a later date so your sims can become famous singers.

Between the stuff packs you're considering, I personally prefer Romantic Garden because I love the build and CAS items. I do love watching my sims cuddle up to watch movies with Movie Hangout though. Perfect Patio has less to offer in my opinion as I rarely use hot tubs, but it does fit nicely with Get Famous.

I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun whatever you decide.
  • I think both EPs are very good additions to the game but if you can only get one get City Living. It has a beautiful world, festivals, apartments, the singing skill, karaoke bars, and more. Get Famous is alos great but is mostly gameplay. The world is quite small but the fame/reputation system is really great and customizable like the Vampires one. It also has really good CAS items.
  • I guess it depends what you do more of in your game. For some really cool gameplay I’d suggest GF (there’s some absolutely AWESOME hairstyles in there so it’s also good for if you’re making new Sims frequently). CL is very good for building and also offers really cool gameplay options. Yeah, I can see how you can’t decide between those two. (Although personally, I’d pick GF because it’s one of my favourites, it’s quite different to other expansions and has so much to offer)
  • For the expansion pack, I highly recommend City Living first before Get Famous. They give your sims the option to enjoy four festivals and as well as you can have your sims live in an apartment or even a penthouse. But Get Famous does have great gameplay but not a lot of new objects. I personally chose City Living because it’s my most favorite.
  • I don't have Get Famous but I do have City Living and it's my favourite pack. The world is amazing, and there is so much diversity added into the game. Not to mention, the CAS and furniture items are great as well. It just adds so much cool stuff into the world. 100% Recommend!
  • Both have great additions to build/buy and clothing! Although I don't attend very many festivals anymore, I still appreciate the layout of the neighborhoods having different vibes to them as well as their own food stands. Maybe watch a let's play for each and decide which features would add the most value to your gameplaying? I think it often comes down to which pack will evolve your gameplay once the initial excitement of a new pack wears off. :)

Can't go wrong with either pack. I enjoy city living with for a lot of its lots with apartments and pent houses, new foods, and the singing skill. Plus I really like the social media career. CAS plus build/buy is very nice. Very colorful pack.
Get together I love with going to night clubs, getting invites out, diving platform, dj and skill as well as the club system. Cas is a bit more fluid to casual fashion to party wear. Favorite item is the big closet from here you can change clothes and woohoo in. Oh and the cafe machine.
