A lot. I do love have the sims tend to develop their knowledge based on the player but the traits. It feels that they are undeveloped. At the pre-release of The Sims 4 we are been told that because of the traits, the way we play each sim will be different compared to each other.but really they are not powerful enough to to change the way we play each sim. They should change gameplay when we choose a specific trait.
Example of the traits that aren't powerful enough to change the way we play and just there. (Actually these felt more of a moodlet to me)
Good - Aside from being able to donate from charity, and discuss world piece, what is the game changing attribute that this trait have?
Outgoing - Decays social need faster. So what's next? Any game changing?
Hot Headed - They got angry when they are been thrown by mischief. Other than that they are one of the happiest sim of the world.
Genius - They get focused then there is nothing left. I can make any sim focused already without even needing that moodlet. They don't act smart really.
Self Assured - Trait to only make them confident. Where is the challenge? The game changing attribute where did it go?
Those are just some. They have no game changing attribute which is why we tend to play the game the same. The AI learn from the player. Its like they have no character and you have to create their character by playing them. However since we want to play in a specific way the result are sims having the same reactions. Traits are there to stop us making our sims to be the same. But since they are powerless then its nothing. A in-depth example is this

The difference is massive.
Other thing is moodlet should be based on traits. Example a hot headed sim should get angry if the place is dirty compared to other sims. If a sim is a slob and cherful, he should be happy.
I have to disagree with you on Hot Headed and Good. Hot Headed sims get random angry moodlets that last 4 hours which does have an effect on gameplay. Good isn't as powerful as Hot Headed imo, but it does affect certain things, like being sad around Evil Sims and happy around other sims in good moods. I fully agree on Genius though.
