Not sure if this is thread-worthy but I'm interested to hear your opinions. For those of you who don't know curfews were a thing for teen sims on pc. Teen sims had to get home by a certain time, I believe it was 11 pm. If teens stayed out past curfew the police would pick them up, take them home and notify the parents that their kid was out past curfew. With this there was an interaction for a parent yell at or talk to their teen about missing the city's curfew. If you were careful enough the police would not know you were out late and your teens could sneak past curfew. At least that's what I know from my experience. This added a really fun aspect to the game and I would not be upset if it made a comeback.

Town-wide curfews are creepy and not realistic, or at least not modern. Cops can't even usually tell if someone's a teen IRL. I don't know what the team was thinking with that feature, actually. Might as well ban dancing in town, lol. :D ;) Curfews set by parents are best.

Oooh I loved that! Sneaking out in the night and brought back home by the police, I wish they would have it in Sims 4. I mean there is this parenthood board, but if your teen stays out late, it does nothing except for losing some responsibility ?

Town wide curfews is a bit strange, more so if it was added in The Sims 4, where the teens seems to be older teens. But I do miss the risk and consequences. There is a big lack of those in The Sims 4 :|

Do not want curfews! Other than maybe one generic "get out of my house, it's 2 am and I'm sleeping!" one. I don't even use the Parenthood one lol. Now sneaking out, THAT I miss!

Nope. If I play teens they are often homeless or living alone. I wouldn't want them to have a curfew that is just imposed without options to get out of it it.

Lol that is really strange and old fashioned but I think my city technically has a curfew though the chances of cops coming to pick you up are really slim.

To OP curfews were implemented in a way in Parenthood but I kind of found them annoying or at least the little board they were attatched to was. My sims always check it or stick stuff to it even going so far as to stop eating to do so?. I should make a point to use it more though but I wish there were more things for teens and kids to get up to. Like I loved pranking neighbors in TS3 or making my grafiti artist teen tag the town or even just hanging out on the swings. Teens are basically adults in TS4 to me.

The current situation allows me to roleplay a curfew: I can tell my sim kiddies to go home before 9:00. The Sims 3 situation was more Orwellian. As soon as the clock struck the magic hour, cops would descend on my kids and teens regardless of where they were. Creepy and annoying..
