- Kita5399New SpectatorThat’s funny, mine always seem to fall too.
I’ve been playing a detective Sim lately, and it always seems to be storming when he goes on patrol. I noticed a moodlet I had never seen before, it said it was from a near miss with lightning.. that was a new one for me. :# - I have played in a month but I've had the game since it came out, my sim had 2 children and was pregnant with her 3rd. Her 3rd ended up being triplets and it was the first time I ever had triplets. Also first time having two of the babies be vampire even though the father didnt turn till after his wife was in her second trimester.
- GalacticGalSeasoned AceWow, that really is a first. Before Dad turned? How is that even possible --- except, Weirder Stories! Thanks for sharing.
- MVWdeZTRising HotshotAn elder in one of my families autonomously decided to use the swingset. It was so cute, watching him swing.
- My toddler woke up with a nightmare and instead of going to wake up her parents, she went next door and woke up her big brother; he was able to comfort her and she went back to bed. First time I'd seen a toddler wake up someone other than the parents. I thought it was adorable; I'm going to try and incorporate that in my storyline by having them remain close. (I had his mom Share Big News with him when she was expecting and she showed off the new baby to him, and he got the Happy moodlet for a new sibling which is the first time I'd seen that as well.)
- A few days ago a sim FINALLY said no to a proposal!!! Every time I had a sim propose to another, they have always said yes even if they have commitment issues. I can tell you all now I screamed for joy when I saw her shake her head! She was in a happy mood, loved the guy and had no commitment issues lol
- Karababy52New SpectatorI sent my Sim on vacation to Granite Falls for the first time last night after getting my new gaming desktop. He's part of my Extreme Rags to Riches challenge and needed to get the Camp Mascot schematic. Anyway, after he got that, I sent him to look around for collectibles, insects and go fishing. He then went to the national park/deep forest to visit the Hermit's hidden area.
I've sent Sims through the brambles many, many times since Outdoor Retreat was released, so I know the dialogue that's asked of a Sim to successfully get there.
They must've updated it with the Seasons pre-patch because something happened that never has in the past. A pop-up said something along the lines of, "Your Sim sees something shiny and very tempting. Should he grab it or ignore it?" I told him to grab it thinking perhaps it was a crystal he could sell on the yard sale table.
The next pop-up said, "Your Sim is totally freaked out! I don't know what that was, and I don't want to know." He then came running back out of the brambles in a panic and he got a 'tense' moodlet with a terrified looking emoji face. It said something like, "Freaked out by monster in the brambles." I LOVE that! It should've been a 'fear' moodlet instead of tense in my opinion though, but we don't have that as of yet.
Maybe that particular dialogue has always been a part of going through the brambles, but that's the first time I personally have ever seen it. :)SpoilerOn a side note: While the world looks more beautiful than ever and the multitude of pine trees, insects, plants, etc. didn't lag my game at all like it would on the toaster laptop, there were some unfortunate glitches happening that I don't think had anything to do with my desktop. ALL the insects are now mosquitoes. Everywhere I had my Sim look that had reliably generated a particular kind of insect were mosquitoes, that's it. EVERY insect spawn site was mosquitoes. o.O
Also, at all the fishing spots, fish still jump as usual, but some of the jumping spots are glitched. All you see is the water splash and rings where a fish should be seen jumping, but no fish, over and over and over ad infinitum. Most of the wild plants are already identified too, but I knew about that bug/glitch already. I hope this will all be fixed in the next patch.
Happy Simming Y'all! <3 - GalacticGalSeasoned AceWhat fun! That's a great 'first'.
- I had my first death by hysterical laughter, I tried to calm her down but to no avail, she continued to laugh till she died. First time ever.
- Autonomy is off, yet my Sim teen suddenly ran out of the house to talk to a Sim she had never met before. (I cancelled the action. Maybe I shouldn't have - I have no idea what she thought she was doing.) Then, when her mother teleported off to the fishing pond, she left her half-finished dinner, put on her winter coat, and ran to the fishing pond to look at her mother. I couldn't cancel the action; she had to see where her mother had gone. (Having Sims cancel their actions in astonishment at a teleporting Sim isn't a first, but it seemed relevant to my Sim teen's flaky behaviour last night.)
