Why are they called "worlds", and not "towns"?

Could go even more into what a "world" is.

For example the "Rock Music" world. (Fat bottom girls make the rocking world go round) :D The "animal world". The "Arab world", the "western world", the "ancient world", the "vegan world", the "Sims Community" world. ;)

Or if in love, someone could be the 'world' to you.

Many examples. "World" basically means something that is percieved by someone and/or a group.

In "Lord of the Rings", the Hobbits world was their Shire.

The advantage of this world map is adding a sense of connectedness. For the next-gen Sims game, I hope each neighborhood (e.g Willow Creek) would be in 3D and explorable with a mouse like in Sims 2 and 3. I love the map. Also the idea of the clouds covering areas and then as you buy each new pack, an area gets unlocked.

A train station in each town would be good. As long as Sims can go up and buy tickets! Maybe even one train is playable, along the Orient Express theme. ?

I would love to put my Sims 4 worlds together in one map.
I would put the following in order:
1. Windenburg with Henford, Glimmerbrook, Granite Falls & Brindleton Bay
2. Forgotten Hollow with Moonwood Mill
3. Strangerville with Sixam & Batuu
4. Sulani with Tartosa & Jungle Adventure
5. Britechester with Copperdale
6. Oasis Springs with DS Valley
7. Willow Creek with Newcrest, Magolia Promanade & Evergreen Harbor

Well if each place the sim can travel to is a world, then the entire collection of them must be a galaxy, which explains why they don't use cars - obviously they are travelling in spaceships.

I've come to automatically mentally substitute town/city/village/etc for "world" and think of them as existing in a single Sims 4 World.
