It annoys me to no end too. You can't really complain about something you don't own, because you don't know enough about it. (You may, like me say you don't want to buy it yet. But I'm not complaining about it.) You've obviously already bought it. It's a completely pointless thing to say, and it's just being dismissive of dissenting opinions.
And giving a company feedback on what you've purchased is not only a good thing, it's a necessary thing. All the stuff they've put out to date is based not only on their own ideas, but also what they've perceived their target audience wants.
