Why do neglected kids disappear from existence? LOL

This is both an idea and feedback. But this has been going on since Sims 1 and we still have NO WAY of putting our neglected kid Sims for adoption. Why do they disappear from existence? Can EA fix th...

I was so used to it working that way in Sims 2 that I was unprepared the first time a kid was taken away in Sims 4. Imagine my horror to find that poor little orphan, an A student who had just earned the Creatively Gifted trait, with extended family eager (per head cannon) to adopt her, had actually been deleted from existence! What twisted mind thought this up?
