I don't want it to be multi-player because this is EA, and if it becomes multi-player then it's going to be micro-transaction hell. Just look at Sims Mobile. I don't trust them to make a good multi-player game like Stardew Valley.
I've played enough MMORPGs to have a good idea of what a multi-player Sims 5 might be like, and I don't want it. It will probably have a bunch of situations where you have to either no-life grind to get a limited-time item/skill/career/etc., or pay real money for it instead. Or worse, it makes you pay a monthly subscription fee to play it, on top of buying the base game and expansions.
